Vehicles

Launch vehicles and spacecraft compared by payload and cost.

Here you compare the vehicles – cargo launch systems and passenger spacecraft. The page is meant for comparison: it helps you judge which providers can cover your needs. You do not book an individual vehicle but capacity with a provider – the provider itself assigns the matching vehicle. Specific flights and dates are listed under “Missions”; you submit a request using the button above.

Prices shown are the providers' official figures and are always non-binding – only the individual quote is binding.

How to use the vehicle comparison

Cargo launch systems

For each launch system you see the payload per target orbit, from low Earth orbit and geostationary orbit to the Moon and Mars, plus launch fee, price per kilogram, reusability and the provider's launch sites.

Passenger spacecraft

For passenger flights, the comparison shows maximum altitude, number of seats, price per seat, flight duration and time in weightlessness. Suborbital, orbital and balloon flights can be set side by side.

Compare and request

Put several vehicles side by side and compare them value by value. If a system fits your project, request capacity from the provider; the provider assigns the specific vehicle.

Vehicle classes and technical data

The catalogue covers orbital and suborbital launch vehicles, space capsules, spaceplanes, cargo spacecraft, orbital transfer vehicles, landers and balloons for flights to the stratosphere. Each vehicle comes with technical data such as height, diameter, liftoff mass, thrust, number of stages, propellant and year of first flight. Cargo launch systems and passenger spacecraft are shown in separate views so that only comparable values stand side by side.

Frequently asked questions

You book capacity with a provider, not an individual vehicle. The provider decides which system flies.

From publicly available sources and from the providers themselves. It is for orientation; only a provider's individual offer is binding.

The mass a launch system can deliver into a particular orbit. The higher and more energy-intensive the orbit, the lower the payload, which is why each orbit has its own value.

For cargo, of a launch fee and a price per kilogram; for passenger flights, of the price per seat. Where prices are missing, the provider quotes them on request.

With a company account, using the button on this page or on a specific mission. The provider replies with an offer.

Under “Missions”. Planned flights are listed there with date, orbit, launch site and available capacity.
