Assessment
Eris is a three-stage launch vehicle with hybrid main engines and Australia's first sovereign orbital launch vehicle for small satellites. On TestFlight 1 from the Bowen Orbital Spaceport on 30 July 2025, two of the four first-stage hybrid motors lost thrust and the vehicle was lost, and Gilmour Space targets TestFlight 2 for no earlier than early 2027.
